Blue is a familiar choice in the marine world, particularly on performance boats and modern yachts with blue underwater or courtesy lighting. It can look exceptional, but it should be selected with the overall lighting plan in mind. A transom sign that clashes with deck lights, cockpit accents, or underwater LEDs can feel added on rather than integrated.

Other colors can be compelling for a brand mark, commercial fleet identifier, or a vessel with a highly specific visual identity. The trade-off is readability and long-term flexibility.
